Like the characters in Come From Away, we know that sharing a meal is more than just what we eat - it’s how we connect, listen, and celebrate being part of a global family.
This special community event, hosted by the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities, is an opportunity to share a meal, share stories, and celebrate the power of community.
This event features four dishes made by Cocina Libre chefs. During the meal, we will hold a conversation about migration, identity, resilience, and the role of food in cultural preservation and resistance. Together, we’ll reflect on the musical’s themes of radical hospitality and connection after fear or tragedy. Each of the 4 featured chefs will speak on their experience, inviting reflection, connection, and actionable steps for supporting immigrant communities.
This event has limited capacity, so make sure you RSVP to secure your seat.
